CPSDA GATORADE SPORTS NUTRITION IMMERSION PROGRAM (SNIP)
Clemson Football
The Gatorade SNIP Program is an 8-month sports nutrition fellowship that matches full-time sports dietitians with sports nutrition fellows that are interested in gaining more hands-on experience working with athletes in sports programs.
Through the Gatorade Sports Nutrition fellowship, I have been able to develop the skills necessary to be a successful full-time dietitian at the collegiate or professional level. I worked exclusively with the football team under mentorship of Paul Harrington. I worked closely with my athletes to meet their performance goals through nutrition education, body composition testing, one-on-one counseling, and hydration assessment. I also coordinated with other departments such as the Bistro staff, sports medicine, strength and conditioning, and the Clemson Applied Science lab, to help provide the athletes the best nutrition care.
Below are examples of projects I completed during my time at Clemson. Check back later to see the final publication of my case study - Knowledge and Behavior Changes in Division I Football Athletes after Implementation of Weekly Sports Nutrition Education Sessions.
